EEAA Student Council

Good practice in accreditation indisputably calls for student involvement at different levels.  In October 2008 the EEAA Council agreed that, from now on, at each General Assembly, each accredited school will be invited to bring a student to a special meeting, denominated the EEAA Student Council.

The Student Council will elects a student to serve on the EEAA council for 2 years, and will also choose student Visitation Evaluation Team members (VET) to serve for 2 years (the number to be determined by the Coordinator). Schools may award ECTS credits for such service.

This page on the EEAA website will update on the nominations, proceedings and initiatives of the EEAA Student Council.

Update

The creation of an EEAA student council has been taken out of the agenda of the GA 09, due to the joint nature of the event (with the ICETE consultation).  The proposal is to organize a separate event in 2010, but we need to discuss if we can properly resource it (finances and who will lead it in light of the new staffing arrangements).

The proposal to include a student member in the EEAA Council stands and should be brought to the GA (asking for nominations as our statues prescribe)

Agreed to conduct a pilot visitation including a student from another school and assess its success.  No other student representation be considered at this stage.
